Lee Thomas is an Emmy Award winner for the best TV Broadcaster. He is providing entertainment to his audience from more than last the years. His boss Thomas said that he is very outgoing and charismatic person and over the time viewers really started loving him.
Although there was a very friendly environment in the newsroom but Thomas always kept himself on a distance. During his off days he did not like to walk on the Detroit Streets in the day time because he did not want to be seen for some time. Actually he was aware that his face is turning into white and that was the fact he wanted to hide from the people.
Lee Thomas having vitiligo said when doctor told me the news that my skin has been affected with vitiligo, I went into shock. I could not hear anything after that but the doctor continued to brief me in details and I could only feel his lips were moving. I asked the doctor, did you say anything like this that there is no remedy of this disease?
Doctor said there are remedies but I you can look yourself in the mirror and can bear it then you don’t need any remedy. Then I just thought other people will think me a monster whenever they will see me?
Thomas told to his family and close friends only about having vitiligo and decided that he will keep it secret from all his colleagues. He started wearing gloves for this purposes as it appeared on his hands only. He kept vitiligo secret as long as he could cover it. Lee thought that vitiligo will be responsible for his career’s death. Being a TV star was his dream from childhood.
