Vitiligo, this is a sort of disease differentiated with coincidentally appearance of irregular patches on the upper surface of skin with the color lighter than the aboriginal skin. How does it happen the origination of the disease, the deficiency in the color producing cells ”Melanocytes” causes the loss of native skin color initially in form of patches in Vitiligo.
The appearance of the patches can be extremely variable in their sizes, shapes the intensity of their color loss and also the mode of their allocation. This reduction in the number of Melanocytes how does it exactly happen is a quite complex and obscure to some extent as well.
It is a commonly found skin disorder in people there are the victims of every age level not limited to a specific age. It is roughly assessed by the estimator merely 2% of the total global population suffers from Vitiligo which may be caused by varied factors, these can be both genetic and non genetic in nature.
However further different theories set forth for this disease as well some of them are,
1)Auto immune theory
2)Stress
3)Neuron theory
4)Hormonal theory
1)Auto immune theory
This theory put forward a modification in humoral and cellular immunity in the destruction of melanocytes of Vitiligo.
2)Stress
The disease victims suffering from acute stress related disorders with this cause are prone to Vitiligo disease.
3)Neuron theory
It is also believed Vitiligo, to be caused by external or internal abnormalities, where neuronal association is destroyed at the tissue level and failure to collaborate with the brain may cause the annihilation of melanocytes at this particular faction of the body.
4)Hormonal Theory
The deficiency in the hormones causes the disorder in the body characterized by hormonal theory. Thus, the disease diabetes melitis and other such diseases are said to enhance the chances of Vitiligo.
Vitiligo disease starts nearly in the age of 20 and may be different in sex age and race being more prominent in the individuals who have dark and brown skins from Africa and Asian islet.
The disorder initiates with a small patch of depigmented skin on the body parts such as hands and legs. This depigmenting process gradually continues to the whole body with the passage of time.
